For more than a  year, we havent had to work on this repeater.

Looks like the call for a new transmitter was a good one.

Repeater is running 95 watts before the duplexers.

 

Status Of N1JBS 224.680 Rocky Hill, Conn

As of  December 5, 2009

Halloween weekend marks the 5th year of 224.680 in Rocky Hill, Conn.

Alot has changed since first putting the repeater on the air in 2004.

1. A new Cat 400 controller

2. A new Austin DFQ'R  (3dbd)

3. Raised 20 feet

4. Antenna moved to the south side of the building.

5. 2 Remote bases ( 2meter and 70cm )

6. Remote base antennas on the north side of the building.

7. New coax cable for 224.680

                     Plans for the future:

1. Fix the Hustler spirit from 224.600 and put it up.

2. Better cable than LMR 400 for 224.680 (hardline)

3. Possibly a 10 remote base on 29.600 FM

Power currently  is 20 watts before the duplexers.

A Alinco DR-235t has been interfaced to the Cat 400

until a new transmitter can be found.

It is driving the amp at 5 watts. Audio adjustments

will be made in the next day or two.

of the new install for the repeater antenna.

The 2 meter link is now set to 146.445 in Bridgeport, Conn

and is full time.
